We wrote this letter by using an original letter from world war II with a similar purpose (see link below).

For filming we used an original envelope from the 1940's sent from the war and we used a letter holder and a wedding picture that were taken to war by a soldier.

t was with deep personal regret that I received the information of your husband, Edward J Roberts being reported missing presumed dead. Your husband was assigned to this organisation from 27 November 1943 to 18 May 1944 during which time he rendered a highly essential service.
We the Army Air Forces cherish with you the memory of Mr Roberts and we are proud to have had him as a member of this command. We offer our sincere condolences to you in your bereavement.
